Exactly what does clothing-optional mean?

If you choose to go topless or naked- in the pool area, at the beach or at the roof-top Jacuzzi Lounge, you may certainly do so. But there is never any pressure for you, or any guest, to do anything that you might find uncomfortable. Our guests are mature and sophisticated; a “live and let live” philosophy is key to the enjoyment of an alternative lifestyle. Cover-ups, however, are required where food is served, in the lobby and certain other public areas. And although guests are expected to be fully dressed at the Disco, this does not mean that they cannot wear revealing outfits; on the contrary, we are very open to SEXY. The couples-only SIN ROOM, adjoining the Nightclub, is available for our guests who may want to explore alternative lifestyle options.

Is there a Sin Roomplayroom etiquette?

Desire Resorts is firmly committed to maintaining a unique, couples-only atmosphere, this way, only couples are allowed. Our hottest spots, such as the Sin Room and the Jacuzzi Lounge are not exceptions.

Is sex allowed in pool or beach areas?

Having sex is permitted only in the Jacuzzi Lounge, but it is strictly prohibited in the public areas.

Are drinks included only with meals?

No, all drinks are available 24 hours even without food intake.

What brands of alcoholic beverages are included?

Brandy: Torres 10, Terry Centenario.

Is walking in the nude allowed?

Yes, Desire Riviera Maya Resort is clothing-optional and it is O.K. to be nude in the public areas of the hotel, however, the restaurants have different dress codes, according to the time of the day.

Are photographs allowed at the resort?

You are only allowed to take photos in the privacy of your room.

Is the food at the snack bars included?

Yes, all meals – snacks, buffets and gourmet dinners- are included.

What time is check-in check-out?

Check-in time at Desire Riviera Maya Resort is 3 p.m. Check out is at 11 a.m. Guests will have a 1-hour tolerance for check out until 12:00 noon.

Does the hotel offer room service?

Yes, it offers room service 24 Hhrs. The penthouseDesire Suites guests and Premier members will have it for free, and for the other rooms there is an additional cost.

Does the resort have internet service?

We have wireless internet in the lobby, rooms and pool with no extra charge.

Do you allow day or night passes?

Desire is a clothing optional resort for couples only that grants you an initimate holiday, but if you are already staying in one of our Desire Resorts, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a Day Pass at either Desire Riviera Maya Resort or Desire Riviera Maya Pearl Resort at your convenience for $350 USD per couple.

Is the resort for swingers?

We respect all lifestyles for that reason we are a “Swinger Friendly” hotel.

Are room requests guaranteed?

The hotel can not guarantee any of specific room number or building but we will make every effort to make it possible.

Are there designated smoking areas at the resort?

Smoking is allowed only in open areas. a designated area located next to our Suki restaurant.

Are gluten-free meals available?

Yes, we have gluten-free meals available with an extra charge, please contact guest services for more information.

What is the minimum age requirement for your resort?

Although the average age range of our guests is of 30-45 years, the minimum age to stay with us is 21.

Only the value of the room is accumulable on each reservation. No additional services purchased along with the reservation will be added to your Stay & Play balance.

Accumulated reservations are valid for 2 years.
Each level is valid for 2 years.
